How to Obtain a Quote

The SEWP Quote Request Tool (QRT) is the recommended method for requesting quotes for hardware, software, or services within the applicable contract scope. Contacting Inadev directly for assistance does not replace the ordering agency’s Fair Opportunity responsibilities.

SEWP VI Quote Request Tool https://www.sewp.nasa.gov/sewpvi/dashboard/quote-request-tool/

  1. Define the requirement. Identify hardware specifications and quantities, software licenses and subscription terms, or the services statement of work and period of performance. Include delivery location, desired schedule, support needs, evaluation criteria, and quote due date.
  2. Submit the request through QRT. Sign in or create a SEWP account, select the applicable contract category and eligible contract holders consistent with the agency’s acquisition approach, and attach supporting documents.
  3. Review responses. Evaluate scope, technical approach, price, delivery, licensing, and warranty or support terms. Address clarifications through the acquisition process designated by the contracting officer.
  4. Finalize the requirement. Confirm the quote identifier, applicable contract number, line items, pricing, performance or delivery dates, and any installation or support options before issuing an order.

Task Order Types
Use only order types authorized by the applicable Inadev SEWP VI award and ordering agency requirements.

Installation
Where installation is included in the order, coordinate site readiness, access, scheduling, configuration, testing, and acceptance through the named support contact. The quote and order must identify installation responsibilities, deliverables, exclusions, and any separate charges.

Basic Warranty
Review the quoted warranty terms before award. Report defects to the named support contact with the order number, affected item, serial or license identifier, and problem description. Support will determine applicable coverage and coordinate the authorized repair, replacement, or service remedy. Obtain return authorization before shipping equipment.

Extended Warranty
Request extended coverage during quoting or contact support before existing coverage expires. The quote must specify available terms, coverage period, service level, exclusions, and price. Changes require authorization under the applicable order.

Technical Support and Order Resolution

Technical and Software Support

For technical support, contact the named post-delivery representative with the order number, affected product or service, error messages, business impact, and steps already attempted. Support will triage the issue, assign a reference number, and coordinate with the delivery team or manufacturer as applicable.

For software support, include the product name, version, license or subscription identifier, and relevant logs. Support will check entitlement and coordinate licensing, activation, updates, patches, or vendor escalation as covered by the order. Use an approved secure channel for sensitive information.

Troubleshooting an Order

  1. Identify the issue. Compare the order and accepted quote with the shipment, invoice, license, or delivered service. Record missing, incorrect, damaged, delayed, or nonfunctioning items and retain relevant packaging and evidence.
  2. Contact customer service. Provide the agency name, SEWP contract and order numbers, quote or QRT reference, SEWP tracking reference if available, affected line items, contact details, and requested resolution.
  3. Track the case. Customer service logs the issue, provides a case reference, checks order and delivery status, and coordinates a resolution with the delivery, finance, support, or vendor team.
  4. Escalate unresolved issues. Contact the Program Manager, then the Deputy Program Manager if the PM is unavailable, using the contacts below. Contact the SEWP PMO for assistance with SEWP processing or vehicle-related questions.
  5. Complete the resolution. Document the agreed action and confirm receipt, repair, replacement, invoice correction, or service acceptance. Only authorized parties may approve contract or order changes; required modifications must follow agency procedures and route through SEWP.

Fair Opportunity Under FAR 16 505 b
FAR 16.505(b)(1)(i) states the following. This is an excerpt; the full regulation includes additional procedures and exceptions.

“The contracting officer must provide each awardee a fair opportunity to be considered for each order exceeding the micro-purchase threshold issued under multiple delivery-order contracts or multiple task-order contracts, except—
(A) As provided for in paragraph (b)(2) of this section; or
(B) Orders issued under 19.504(c)(1)(ii).”

The ordering contracting officer is responsible for applying the applicable Fair Opportunity procedures, considering price or cost, and documenting any permitted exception. The SEWP QRT is the recommended quote-request method. A direct inquiry to Inadev does not by itself establish compliance with Fair Opportunity requirements.
